Hey, better than last time. Only 2 weeks or so. Well, this was Elijah's first Halloween, and I am happy to say that he exceeded all of our expectations and then some. We had a wonderful night cruising the neighborhood by our house and playing at the carnival hosted by our church. Elijah enjoyed every minute of it, and we have some great memories.
It has been slow progress with Elijah, but progress nevertheless. We seek God's strength and wisdom every day, and He always provides. Our broken little boy is mending slowly, but as I see it, he is ours forever. So if it takes forever, that's how long we'll keep working at it...
Here are some pictures to tide you over:
The family at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, just 5 minutes from our house.
Day Trip to Big Bear in the Mountains east of Los Angeles
Had to bribe Benjamin into being the woman. Elijah didn't know any better.
That was the face before he realized what was inside the pumpkin...
Happy Halloween
No, Isaac's not Richard Simmons, in case you were wondering. Couldn't find the red, white, and blue old-school P.E. shorts...

I'm glad to hear you all are doing well this fall!
We received our court petition a couple of days before Halloween and are waiting for word of when we get to return to Russia.
God bless,
Heather

Absolutely LOVED the picture of the boys with their faces inside that Bates Nut Farm "scarecrow family" photo. So cute!
We miss you all and look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks!
hugs, Aunt Sharon
P.S. I thought Isaac's costume was Gabe Kaplan (a.k.a. Mr. Kotter) from the old sitcom "Welcome Back Cotter". It was a close guess it seems! :o)
We are also an AWAA family and have been following your blog since you were traveling to bring home Elijah. We were able to see your video before it had to be removed from the site and absolutely loved it, I cried buckets full of joyful tears. Well, last week we traveled to meet our little girl for the first time and I immediately recognized the orphanage from your footage. It was surreal to be walking the halls that we had seen you all walk with your son. We were impressed with how it was run and kept. We appreciate you sharing your video, it made me feel more comfortable there from having seen it beforehand. Yarbrough family
